Why KDT?

1. Experience – Kurt Thompson, President of KDT Construction, Inc. has been building homes for over 30 years. He’s been a licensed General Contractor in the state of Utah since 1982.

2. Quality – Kurt refuses to skimp. He uses the best products on the market: Hurd wood windows, Spanish Pueblo solid wood doors, Polysteel insulating concrete forms, Dietrich metal framing systems, etc.

3. Innovation – Unlike most contractors, Kurt wasn’t satisfied with traditional wood framed homes. Due to the deteriorating quality of the wood framing products available on the market, Kurt saw the need to offer something better to his customers. This conclusion lead him to change the entire way he built, moving from stick-built homes, to Polysteel insulated concrete forms for the exterior envelope of the home, and metal framing systems for the interior walls. After the success of this switch, Kurt began to look for other innovative ideas/products to improve the quality of his homes.

4. Environmentally Responsible and Intelligent

Polysteel: Because there are so many reasons Polysteel is environmentally friendly and beneficial, we decided to provide a link to their website.

Dietrich: Because there are so many reasons Dietrich Metal Framing is environmentally friendly and beneficial, we decided to provide a link to their website.

5. Honesty – You can be assured that all regulations, codes, and requirements are met, or exceeded, when using KDT Construction, Inc.

6. Timely – KDT prides himself in finishing projects in a timely manner. If customers have an absolute deadline, KDT will meet or beat it. If the deadline is not possible, he will be sure to be honest about a reasonable completion date.

7. Dependable & Accessible – Kurt lives in the same subdivision in which he’s built over fifty homes. His customers are not only clients, but become his neighbors and friends.

8. Follow Through – Kurt’s job doesn’t end when the customers move into their new homes. If there’s any little “punch-list” items that need to be taken care of, Kurt personally sees to making sure they get done.

9. Customer Satisfaction – KDT has a long list of satisfied customers that can be used as references at your request.

10. “Hands On” Builder – Kurt isn’t the kind of builder that drives around in his truck all day checking on the workers. He likes to be on the jobsite actually doing the work himself.
